Block Island Sound Shark
The first night of the Bermuda1-2 race I encountered a rather large shark in Block Island Sound. It chased the boat for about 10 minutes while I was ghosting along in the dusk.

Qualification Trip
For the 2005 Bermuda1-2 Race I had to sail an offshore qualification trip in Sharkbait. I chose to sail around Long Island - starting at Ambrose Light House and finishing inside the sound . It was May .. and it was cold.

Sailing Through the Gulf Stream
This was shot while sailing through the Gulf Stream on the way to Bermuda. It was the first day the sun came out :] The video is deceiving .. actually sailing quite fast, regularly hitting 15 kts or above.

Upwind, Upwind, Upwind...
Most of the race to Bermuda was sailed upwind, followed by some tacking, with a little close hauled sailing after that... This video is a little out of focus because I accidently turned the camera to manual focus.
